At Lees Corner Elementary, the PTA is more than just a parent-teacher association — we’re a dedicated community of families, educators, and advocates working together to support every child’s potential. With over 500 students in grades K–6, our mission is to build a stronger, more connected school environment that empowers students, supports our staff, and uplifts families.
Throughout the year, we host a wide range of events — from family fun nights and cultural celebrations to wellness programs and teacher appreciation activities — that bring our community together and make school a vibrant place to learn and grow.
We also help organize valuable school benefits such as after-school enrichment programs, school supplies shopping, and more, making it easier for families to stay engaged and students to thrive. In addition, our PTA provides grants and direct support to close financial gaps for teachers and staff, funding classroom resources, educational programs, and school-wide needs that go beyond what the school budget can cover.
Led by an engaged board of parent volunteers — including President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, and Directors — we’re committed to advocacy, equity, and community. We are a passionate voice for public education with a strong focus on policy, actively advocating at the Virginia General Assembly for better school funding and support staff resources.
Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or community member, there’s a place for you in the Lees Corner PTA. Together, we’re shaping the future — one child, one classroom, one voice at a time.
